Father Sean Dowling I was born in Syracuse New York and am one of six children. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Montclair State University in Montclair New Jersey. After college,I pursued a career as a professional musician, traveling all around Europe,America and eventually ending up in Honolulu Hawaii. After some 12 years on the road, I was given a unique opportunity to enter professional baseball as an Umpire. I spent three years Umpiring in Professional Baseball including spring training assignments with the Marlins, Mets, and Dodgers.  Life was great! But during the off-season following my 3rd year in professional baseball, I experienced a powerful conversion experience that changed my life forever. I traveled to a small farming village in the former Yugoslavia called Medjugorje where the Blessed Virgin Mary began appearing to 6 young people on June 24th, 1981.The apparitions of Mary continue to this day each evening at 6:40pm and are now being studied by church officials in Rome. That is where I heard the call to the Priesthood. Upon returning from Medjugorje,I met a wonderful priest who helped me discern that I had a calling to be a Priest. I entered Mount Saint Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg Maryland in August of 2003 and received a Masters in Divinity in May of 2009.I am very happy to be here and look forward to getting to know all of you.
